The truth is unique. A single moment, in which the only meaning of the world can be grasped. We move from the marble circle at the center of the perspective of Andrea Pozzo to Sant'Ignazio, and everything collapses. The door of Santa Maria sopra Minerva closes, and no wind will shake Bernini's stone drapes anymore. But to the right of Michelangelo’s Christ, the door opens to the scale of the emperors and the temple of wisdom, filled with the rarest books in the world. A journey in the instant of a saber blow, crystalized in the weapons of the Academy but timeless, like the gaze of Innocent X of Velasquez and the waters of the Bath of Diana that awaits the next guest of the Doria Pamphilj Princes.

132 hectares of greenery in the heart of the capital. A place of myth and legend, the park retraces the history of the Eternal City and has kept its magical atmosphere intact. Between the two main roads of ancient times, the Via Latina and the Via Appia, the park is a testament to the meeting of many cultures and the thousands of peoples who have known Rome. This walk will trace a path through leaves and ancient ruins, and promises intense emotions, especially if you have the fortune of meeting grazing animals or walk by an open farm to taste the ricotta, wines and cheese produced by the local farmers. You will walk in the company of gurgling water and can pass the time bird watching with majestic herons between the nymphaeum and Roman cisterns. Writer Romana Petri will be your mentor and will lead you to discover the scenes of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s “La Ricotta”, one of the most beautiful and audacious films by the intellectual. The film sent waves through the 20th century, some of which can still be felt today.

    Villa Torlonia with screenwriter

Villa Torlonia is an architectural jewel in full liberty style, and played a leading role in 20th century history. It was founded as an agricultural estate, and over the centuries became the property of some of the most important families in Rome. Even Benito Mussolini succumbed to its charm, so much that he moved his residence here. Its surprising and mysterious buildings - perfect to enchant children and adults (the Cascina delle Civette, the neoclassical Casino Nobile and the renaissance era Casino dei Principi, as well as Mussolini’s bunker) - will plunge you in a timeless atmosphere that has lived through the history of the city and its nation.
