Discover the places that tell the story of one of the most astonishing painters in the history of all time, Caravaggio. The artist who revolutionized the way of making art with his unconventional vision. We will take you inside the church of San Luigi dei Francesi to be amazed by the Cappella Contarelli: one of the pictorial cycles that established Caravaggio unequivocally as a great Master. The church is located near the famous Piazza Navona, where Lena, the painter's infamous model, sold her body. A little farther on, we will take you past the Tor di Nona prison, where Caravaggio was imprisoned, and from there to Palazzo Giustiniani, whose lord was one of his clients. We will then tell you about Palazzo Patrizi, where the masterpiece “Supper at Emmaus” was housed and from there we will continue to the Basilica of Sant'Agostino and the church of Santa Maria del Popolo, to discover the other wonders born from the rebellious genius of an artist who was capable of bestowing profound humanity to the idyllic aesthetic of art.
